BITUMAT ROOFCOAT is a premium quality coating manufactured from ductile, pliable bitumen and plasticizing oil blown to optimum and uniform softening point and penetration.
BITUMAT ROOFCOAT Type IV and 115/15 are used in the construction of built-up roofs on inclines not exceeding 25% slope and Type III and 85/25 on inclines not exceeding 12.5% slope.
BITUMAT ROOFCOAT is highly stable during melting due to blowing at optimum temperature to minimize softening point fall back.
Tools : Clean with kerosene
Hands : Use a hand cleaner or kerosene followed by soap and water
Note: BITUMAT can also provide, upon request, information on equiviscous temperature (E.V.T.) for optimum heating and application temperature.
Type III and 85/25 in 190-Kg metal drums. Type IV and 115/15 in Polyamide bags and 45-Kg kegs.
Type III and Type IV comply with ASTM D312. 85/25 and 115/15 comply with BS 3690 Part 2. Other ASTM and BS grades are available on request.
1. Fire - Non-flammable; flash point is above 235°C. However avoid overheating above flash point as it could ignite.
2. Skin - If contact occurs while hot, it could cause severe burn. If contact occurs, immediately cool affected area with cold water. It is recommended that a bucket of ice water be kept nearby. Seek medical attention.
3. Eyes - If contact occurs, immediately cool with cold water, then seek medical attention.
4. Protective clothing -Wear heavy cotton /leather work gloves, long sleeve shirts, shoes, long trousers and eye goggles as face shield.
