AQUASHIELD - RV

BITUMAT AQUASHIELD RV Grade is a brush applied, jointless bitumen coating, clay stabilized and non-asbestos fibre, reinforced for extra flexibility and stability.

This waterproof coating is designed and manufactured specially for use as a Reservoir Lining.

BITUMAT AQUASHIELD RV Grade heavy duty coating is manufactured without biocides to provide a tough, non toxic film, ideally suited for waterproofing reservoirs and cold tanks. This non toxic, odour and taint free coating provides a rugged waterproof film. It’s high water vapour permeability greatly reduces any risk of blistering.

STORAGE

Store BITUMAT AQUASHIELD RV Grade under cover, at temperatures between 5°C and 40°C. Stored correctly, a shelf life of 12 months can be expected for unopened containers. Storage must be frost free.

PACKING

20 litre and 200 litre containers.

APPLICATION

Apply at the rate of 1.33 litre/m2 by soft brush or broom to damp (not wet) or dry surfaces.

Application is eased by dampening the application tool before and during use.

Allow first coat to dry. Then apply the second coat at the same rate of 1.33 litre/m2 . This coat is applied at right angles to the first.

For water storage, allow to dry, then thoroughly wash surfaces with fresh potable water before putting into service.

Keep tools in water during use. Clean with water when wet, with white spirit when dry.

Protect from frost and rain until fully cured.

INSTALLATION

PREPARATION

Thoroughly clean all surfaces to be coated with Bitumat Aquashield Emulsion.

Repair damaged or cracked substrates

Prepare friable or porous surfaces by priming with Bituprime. Allow this to dry before application of waterproof coating.

Stir well before use

STANDARDS

Complies with ASTM D 1227 Type IV.

HEALTH & SAFETY

Fire - Non-flammable when wet.

Skin - Avoid repeated or prolonged skin contamination. Remove with water when wet or with a hand cleaner when dry

Eyes - No special precautions required. But if eyes become contaminated, irrigate them with copious amounts of clean water.
